At a meeting of YANA Trustees on 17 March, we were delighted to appoint Letty Glaister as a trustee of the charity.
Letty hails from Hertfordshire and grew up as part of the local rural community, giving her a strong personal understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by those living and working in agriculture. She is a solicitor and Partner at Tees Law, where she leads the firm’s Agriculture & Estates practice. In this role, she is widely recognised across the East Anglian region as a leading expert in rural succession planning, supporting farming families as they navigate complex legal and generational transitions.
Alongside her professional work, Letty is also a trustee of the Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust, demonstrating her wider commitment to charitable causes and community support.
In her own time, Letty is passionate about conservation and sustainable land management. On her 62-acre farm in Devon, she has recently reinstated 250 metres of native hedging and established a “food forest”, creating a diverse and resilient environment that supports both wildlife and long-term land stewardship.
Letty’s combination of professional expertise, rural insight, and commitment to community wellbeing makes her a valuable addition to the YANA Board. We look forward to working with her as we continue to support mental health and wellbeing across rural communities.
