New Charity Director for YANA

YANA (You Are Not Alone), the rural mental health support charity for East Anglia, has appointed Robin Hepburn as its new Charity Director.

During August 2025 Robin has a handover with outgoing Charity Director Emma Haley prior to her departure by the end of September.

New Charity Director at YANA

Before joining YANA, Robin was Interim CEO of Beat (the UK national charity for eating disorders) which is headquartered in Norwich. Robin remains a trustee of Beat.

Commenting on his new role Robin says: “I am delighted to join the team at YANA as we extend the important work of the charity. Sadly, mental health pressures among farmers and in rural communities continue to grow and support provided by YANA is essential.”

Farewell and Thanks to Emma Haley

As outgoing YANA Director, Emma says “I extend my best wishes to Robin as he assumes the leadership role at YANA. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to making the past four years incredibly fulfilling and meaningful. I wish YANA all the best as you embark on the journey ahead.”

Emma Haley joined YANA in 2021 and has guided the charity in making great progress especially with the introduction of the live helpline and as we have implemented governance and safeguarding policies that assure our future.

Tom Streeter, Chair of YANA Trustees, says, “YANA is particularly grateful to Emma for all she has contributed in her time as Director and we wish her well for the future.”

“We are pleased to welcome Robin Hepburn to head up the team. We look forward to benefiting from his leadership and wide business and charitable experience as we seek to make YANA’s support more widely known, so that those who are struggling know that they are not alone.”
